You don’t have to be a full blown mechanic to use one of the available manuals but maybe it will turn you into a good novice. Maybe you will learn some basic repairs and end up loving the projects that you want to learn more. It is a fascinating subject. One only needs the right ford ranger repair manual , some tools, and a bit of patience to the repairs one self.

The instructions are usually very clear along with the photos so it should be easy to understand what to do. There is a lot of wisdom in a manual that comes from years of things that work and don’t work so the trouble shooting side should be extensive. One of the fun benefits of having a maintenance manual by your side while working on your truck is that endless supply of short cuts and easier ways of doing things along the way. There are always industry tricks to be learned and most of the ones in the manual were either passed down or learned the hard way by someone else. So whether one is working on a Ford or a Mazda truck from 1983 to current day having a good manual is a very important step to the success of project on hand. Even if one is just changing the oil
