5 Reasons Coffee is Better Than Beer

Despite coffee and beer being a favorite for many people today, coffee provides many advantages over beer. This is especially true when both mental and physical health are concerned. Coffee provides rich antioxidants that are known to help prevent cancer and the general effects that come with aging. After a night out drinking beer, what kind of benefit is provided to your body? Unless you are a fan of dehydration and splitting headaches, the answer is “none.”

Another drawback is that some people suffer indigestion after drinking beer. Coffee on the other hand is a good agent for the promotion of digestion. Coffee provides diuretic tendencies and therefore can help promote healthier digestive patterns. Coffee is often served along with dessert because it helps speed up the metabolism after eating a large meal. Beer on the other hand is a filler and when it is served alongside a meal, you may find yourself to be too full to even enjoy the food.

Often drinking beer and other alcoholic drinks could be a side effect of depression or in some cases drinking alcohol could be the cause of depression. Coffee is actually associated with positive mental health. In one particular study, coffee had some positive effects on school children in Brazil. It went on to show that later in life, the children had lower depression levels.

Beer consumption over a long period of time could lead to the development of Parkinson’s disease. This is after six different researches. If you make it a habit to go for coffee instead a can of beer, you will be able to decrease the chance of developing Parkinson’s disease by up to 80 percent. This is when compared to those who do not take coffee but consume a lot of beer.

If you need to avoid getting bacterial infections, both beer and coffee provides a good chance to be free of this. The reason you need to consider going for coffee over alcohol is that you do not need to be at risk of other conditions while preventing the other. Coffee will provide a chance to get rid of bacteria to avoid infection the safe way.

  1. Coffee generally leaves you feeling energized and ready to face the next challenge. Alcohol, on the other hand, may have you feeling good in the moment but is often followed by headaches, nausea , and sensitivity to light and sound. There really is no contest between the two.

I’m a full-time writer who drinks two cups of coffee a day, and I’ve been feeling guilty about it. I’ve been feeling like I shouldn’t drink coffee. However, coffee is not a drink I want to give up, and after reading this blog post, I know I don’t have to. I didn’t realize coffee had so many benefits. I do know that coffee makes me feel energized and pumped after I drink it in the morning. I know that coffee is usually served after dessert, but I didn’t know it helps with digestion – although that would certainly make sense. Learned lots of other stuff in this post too. Thanks!
