It’s really important, however, for hikers on Grand Canyon tours to realize that the chances of having to deal with a rattlesnake bite are extremely slim. This is especially true on the more well-tread paths, but even those who know the terrain and are given to wandering will discover that there may be lots of rattlesnakes around, but they are never easy to find. The most important thing to remember, perhaps, is that the rattlesnake will not bite unless it’s harassed or startled .
